Haraah! Some issues resolved :)
Tuesday, March 28, 2006, 06:12
Looks like the freezing issues have been resolved. I also have Xgl working under KDE, but Gnome is being a pain. At least it looks like we're one step closer!

The only "Xgl" related issue I have atm is the window titlebar disappearing randomly.. Hopefully this will be fixed in an upcoming overlay, we'll see.

Well, back to it!

Well everyone, I've been flat out working on this next Live CD release. Currently banging my head against the wall with a few major issues, but hopefully once these are solved I should be ready for some final testing and the official release.

Thanks for your patience :) I have people left front and centre telling me to hurry up!

Updated: Email back online, yay :)
Sunday, March 19, 2006, 18:57
Since moving the domain across to DreamHost two days ago I have not been getting any emails.

Update: It appears there was an issue with their systems which they have since resolved. As such email has started coming in again so feel free to contact me at feedback@kororaa.org

Once again, sorry for the inconvenience. I hope I did not lose any emails. If I haven't replied to you already, then I didn't get your email, so please re-send.

Thanks! And thanks to the DreamHost support team.

Kororaa Interview @ Distrowatch.org
Tuesday, March 14, 2006, 20:12
Distrowatch.org has an interview with the Kororaa team in it's latest newsletter:

Up until last week, Kororaa was a little-known distribution - a decent alternative of installing Gentoo Linux on one's hard disk, but otherwise nothing too exciting to write home about. Then all of a sudden, Kororaa has shot to fame. Chris Smart (on the right) and Matthew Oliver, the two developers of the project, have released a live CD that integrates Xgl and Compiz with the proprietary NVIDIA and ATI graphics driver to create what is possibly the world's most spectacular Linux live CD. The stunning 3D effects combined with the fact that Kororaa Xgl has been pre-configured to work without any user intervention was an instant success...
